What’s happening for seniors in the Upper Clutha?

Get connected at the next LINK Connection Café, focusing on senior activities and services in the Upper Clutha. Whether you are an older person, a service provider or just someone who would like to know more, this free, casual networking session offers a chance to meet others and turn ideas into action.
LINK has lined up local organisations to share what they are doing – anchoring the conversation which everyone can contribute to. Confirmed speakers include:
- Marie Roxburgh from Age Concern Otago, presenting on the support services she coordinates and the Alexandra Community House/Central Otago District Council-led ‘Next Chapter’ survey of older people in the Alexandra Basin.
- Prime Timers Activities Coordinator Helen Millar, an organisation supporting seniors in the Upper Clutha with regular meetings and outings.
- Hāwea Community Association member Colleen Carr, introducing the Hāwea Friendship and Support Group and the work they are doing to connect and support over-65s in their community.
- St John Wānaka Chairperson Dell Taylor, introducing the Aged Care Support Group and their monthly social outings for older community members.
Connection Cafes are an excellent way to share information and find ways to work together. Morning tea will be provided, and all are welcome!
